Prior to 9/11, the Twin Towers were inundated everyday with thousands of busy workers and sightseers. Up until the construction of the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Twin Towers remained as the tallest towers in the United States.† Right before 9/11, the twin towers were worth $900,000,000.† The WTC was the financial center of the entire world.
